How much weight will I lose?
This entirely depends on your own personal starting measurements, BMR and the setting chosen within the app. However, most users participating on the Aggressive Weight Loss setting can lose anywhere between 4.5 and 6 lbs in their first 10 day cycle.
What does BMR mean?
BMR or Basal Metabolic Rate, is an estimate of how many calories you'd burn if you were to do nothing but rest for 24 hours. It represents the minimum amount of energy needed to keep your body functioning, including breathing and keeping your heart beating. Your BMR is calculated by your weight, height and gender. Knowing your BMR is the first step to weight loss because if you deduct calories from that number you will lose weight - without doing anything else at all.
I’ve never done a fast before, is it hard?
Most people will never have experienced a fast day before and may be nervous about it. Trust us, its a lot easier than you think. You will naturally feel some hunger but it can be alleviated quickly with a mug of black coffee (1 calorie) or a glass of carbonated water. Tips on how to deal with a fast day.
Do I have to do a fast day?
A complete fast day is only experienced in the Aggressive Weight Loss setting. If you would rather avoid completing a fast day in the cycle please select one of the other two weight loss settings - Moderate or Light. However, please do not be intimidated by a fast day, they are a lot easier than you think and after completing one, you'll wonder what the fuss was about.
Can I combine the Evolve Diet cycle with another diet at the same time?
Absolutely. You can follow any lifestyle/diet program you want and that you are comfortable with. Paleo, Vegan, DASH, or anything in between. As long as you stick to your number of calories each day, you will do well.
How much does it cost?
Your first 10 day cycle is free. Additional 10 day cycles can be purchased for $3, 30 day cycles for $6 and 12 month cycle for $60.
How do you take payment?
Payment is taken inside the mobile app or via the portal login. We use Braintree Payments (a Paypal company) as our billing provider for their outstanding levels of security.
Can I complete more than a 10 day cycle?
Of course. Your first 10 day cycle is free then additional cycles can be purchased from within the app or online portal.
Is the app available for Android phones?
Not yet. This release is coming soon. In the meantime you can login to the online portal to manage your program.
What foods can I eat?
Anything you like. Yes, really. As long as you stick to your daily calorie allocation you can make your own decisions about the food you eat. Obviously we prefer that you make healthier decisions that aid the weight loss process and give you all the nutrients your body needs, but ultimately you decide.
How do I setup cheat days?
If you have an event coming up that you would like to be free from dieting on (party, night out with friends etc) you can allocate yourself a block day in your cycle’s calendar. In the app, select the calendar icon in the top left corner of the main screen to take you to the CYCLES screen. At the bottom of the CYCLES screen you will see the option BLOCKED DAYS. Select this option and then input a title for your future blocked days e.g. Thanksgiving, and then a date/s. This day will then be blocked from your current or future cycle - but will not remove days from your overall cycle. For example, if a cycle is 10 days and you block out 1 day in the cycle, the cycle will now take 11 days to complete.
How do I purchase additional cycles?
In the app, select the calendar icon in the top left hand corner. In the CYCLES screen you can purchase additional 10 day ($3), 30 day ($6) or 12 month ($60) cycles.
