How to Lose Weight In A Week

You can start to lose weight in a week or even as little as a few days.

What’s better yet is you can even do it without taking on any of the traditional tough diets like the moon diet, the soup diet or the juice diet.

Of course, if you eat nothing but soup for an entire week, you’re going to lose weight. But once you switch back to a normal diet, that progress will be lost almost immediately.

In fact, returning to our usual habits after a restrictive diet can even end in us gaining more pounds than we’ve lost.

That happens because when we go on a really restrictive diet right away, our brains assume something’s wrong, so they begin to store fat for longer periods of time, instead of releasing it as the organism would normally try to do.

So the real challenge with weight loss is not so much about losing weight, but actually keeping off the pounds we’ve lost.

Since fad diets aren’t the answer, what can you do? The first step is to manage your expectations. Don’t imagine you can go on a (truly) healthy diet and lose 30% of your weight in 2 weeks or less. That’s just not the way our bodies work.

What’s more important for us though, is to begin losing weight step by step, in a way that helps us keep off all of the pounds we’ve put on even after we revert back to a more comfortable diet.

So our advice is to first put aside any thoughts of going on extreme diets that can leave you with a completely new set of health challenges to deal with.

Extreme diets can lead to all sorts of problems we’re better off avoiding, such as anorexia, bulimia or compulsive overeating.

Instead, let’s forget about those and focus on educating ourselves about how to make better food and nutritional choices.

The second option is a lot more manageable, a lot healthier, and it can actually help us develop a much healthier and longer lasting lifestyle.

And what is the main ingredient behind a healthy diet? Balance.

Balancing our daily meals, our calorie intake and creating a sustainable food plan that includes all of the nutrients our bodies need – that is the real key to lasting weight loss success.

What this doesn’t mean, however, is that you can eat any number of calories you like. In order to lose weight, we do need to cut our daily calorie intake below the recommended average for our weight group.

But we can go below the recommended average without having to commit to a single type of meal, or otherwise remove carbohydrates and other nutrients our bodies actually need to function properly.

We’ve created Evolve, an app you can download to your iPhone right now, specifically for the purpose of helping people set daily calorie intake goals, so that they can start to lose weight while continuing to get all of the nutrients they need.

You can even set a few short-term challenges and let our app calculate the right amount of calories you should eat each day to reach your goals.

And yes, you can start seeing results and feeling better about yourself and your health in as little as a few days. But don’t take my word for it – give it a try and decide for yourself.
