Weight Loss Apps

Every day, people decide to start a diet plan, lose weight and live better. The Internet has been the most popular source of advice for those who want to look and feel better. Plus, there are thousands of fitness apps with different features to help your progress, and challenge you to get thinner. Those who’ve tried them know they can work.

Check out a short list of fitness apps:

1 – Endomondo

Available for Android and IOS, this app can help you track the amount of calories burned while you exercise. It’s easy to use. You only have to choose the activity you are about to start—It can be riding a bike, walking or dancing. When you finish the exercise, Endomondo shows you the amount of calories you burned, how far you went in kilometers and at what point your heart rate rose. But, you should know that some features only work if you use a heart monitor. Endomondo also gives you the chance to challenge friends and other participants to amp up their exercise routine.

2 – FitStar

Available only for IOS, this fitness app is good for those who don’t go to the gym and prefer working out at home. FitStar is based on the exercise routine of NFL player Tony Gonzalez, and gives you basic or pro activities to do at home or wherever you are. Equipment is not required. The basic plan is free, but you can get the “Premium” plan for US$ 4.99/month.

3 – FitRadio

This is a music app for those who like to keep the beat while exercising. You can browse songs according to the activity you are about to start — like yoga, pilates or running — mix them, and making special playlists. FitRadio is available for IOS, BlackBerry and Android and it has free and premium versions, from US$3.99 per month to US$79.99 for a lifetime subscription.

4- UP Coffee

Do you like coffee? If you can’t get through a day without it, maybe the caffeine is affecting your life. In denial? Use this app to check if you are harming your sleep, or even your exercise time, with the amount of coffee you ingest. UP Coffee is only available for IOS and works with a Jawbone fitness tracker.

5 – Evolve.diet

Everyone knows that exercising is just one part of health and fitness. The best way to lose weight is to combine a diet plan with activities, but exercise is just 30% of weight loss. Choosing a healthy diet plan is the most important thing when you want to lose those pounds. Evolve can help. This fitness app works because it challenges you to eat a specific amount of calories, which varies each day. It’s good for those who want to lose weight faster and also for those who want to maintain weight loss. The app is available only in IOS and offers a free 10-day trial.
